Njabulo Madlala (baritone) and Christopher
Duigan (piano) will perform at the Mandela Capture Site on March 3.
Acclaimed KwaMashu-born Njabulo Madlala is
quickly developing a major name in the UK as a top operatic singer. The
recipient of the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Award, Madlala is a Britten Pears
Young Artist having completed his post-graduate studies at the Guildhall School
of Music and Drama in London.
With Christopher Duigan (piano), he
performs songs by English composers, Roger Quilter, Ralph Vaughan Williams,
operatic arias by Mozart and Puccini, selections from popular musicals and from
The African Song Book, a unique
trademark of his performances.
The performance will take place on March 3
at 11h30 at ‘The Shed’ - Theatre@ the Mandela Capture Site, Old Main Road R103
- Lions River (Howick North/Tweedie exit from the N3) on the Midlands Meander.
