The Rising Star Performing Arts Academy
will conduct their final audition rounds over the next two weekends:
February 23 (tomorrow): RU the NXT Rising Star at Hirsch’s
Umhlanga – from 11h00 to 14h00
March 2: RU the
NXT Rising Star at Hirsch’s Hillcrest from 11h00 to 14h00
Categories: acting, singing and dancing and
the following age groups apply: 10 to 13 and 14 to 17. All performers must
perform their piece from memory and bring any backing or dance tracks on CD.
NB: There will be a R20 audition fee.
The top 20 selected from all audition
rounds must attend a performance workshop, ran by the rising Star Performing
Arts Academy from 12h00 to 16h00 on March 9 in Hillcrest followed by the finale
which will take place on March 9 and 19h00 at Hirschs Hillcrest.
There are great prizes up for grabs from numerous
sponsors including Sony prizes, Hirsch vouchers, recording voucher and a Rising
Star Academy bursary.
