AUTUMN RHAPSODY

Music Revival will host a popular programme of music reflecting the current seasonal change this weekend.

As we approach the special hues of autumn light and crisp wintry evenings, Christopher Duigan plays a richly coloured programme of magical melodies in this special programme that features some of the world’s best-loved melodies.

Music that makes the piano resonate with rich and warming colours are featured in this beautifully balanced performance. Included are the celebrated Nocturne in A-flat and Waltz in C sharp-minor by Chopin, Debussy’s Arabesque, the cafĂ© waltz Je te veux by Satie, beautifully appealing selections from contemporary film sound tracks Amelie and Twilight, music by Mozart and Bach’s Sheep May Safely Graze. This promises to be a selection of music to enjoy with a glass of mulled wine on crisp Friday evening, or steaming coffee and scones on a Sunday afternoon.

Performances take place at 35 Montgomery Drive, Pietermaritzburg, on April 19 at 19h30 and April 21 at 16h00. Tickets R100 for both – the Friday evening concert includes refreshments, mulled wine and coffee** while the Sunday afternoon concert includes scones, tea and coffee served from 15h30.

**A light meal, a popular addition to the Friday night event, is on offer from 18h45 - R120 including the concert. Please bring your own wine to enjoy with the meal. There is secure parking.

Booking is essential through booking@musicrevival.co.za  (preferred) or on 033 342 3051. Please include your contact numbers in both email and telephone bookings.
