Performing
this evening at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Howard College campus is a musical
trio with the clever name of CompaTRIOts.
The
performers are Margrit Deppe (oboe); Marguerite Spies (cello) and David Smith
(harpsichord).
CompaTRIOts
offers an interesting and varied concert programme for oboe, cello and
harpsichord with a repertoire ranging from the baroque era to 21st century
music. In the first half of the programme, the musicians present works by Marin
Marais, Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Joachim Quantz. The second half features
works by composers Stephen Dodgson, Stefans Grove, James Rich and Fiona Tozer.
The concert
takes place this evening (April 29) at 19h30 in Howard College Theatre. Tickets
