Sudanese artist Hussein Salim’s exhibition, Images of Africa, opens at the Elizabeth Gordon Gallery this
evening (July 24).
“Hussein’s new works are a combination of images reflecting all that is
sacred to us on the continent of Africa,” says gallery owner, Joy Reynolds. “The
images show a move away from his Sudanese influences towards an acceptance of
his new environment which, while being supportive and embracing, is filled with
fragility and vulnerability.”
Images of Africa runs until August 3 at
the Elizabeth Gordon Gallery, 120 Florida Road. For
