The Writers’ Guild of South Africa (WGSA) has
announced that their award winning magazine is now available online.
From its inception in 2009 as a two page
newsletter to its current 100 pages-plus incarnation, the WGSA Mag has grown to
become one of the most widely-read digital industry publications in the
country. Jam-packed with interviews and articles, which cover the interests of
all the disciplines represented by WGSA, the magazine has turned into a major
public relations tool for WGSA, bringing in new members and gaining readership
at training institutions, broadcasters and at government level.
It is distributed free of charge to
Writers’ Guild members and representatives of the Film and Television Industry,
both locally and abroad. As WGSA is a non-profit and public benefit
organisation, all contributions, from editorial control to local and
international articles, are done on a voluntary basis with no payment.
After 14 issues, July marks the magazine’s
first online edition and with it the WGSA’s commitment to continue to grow
their readership to even greater numbers.
The success would not be possible without
the contributions of the media and content providers and to them WGSA would
like to say a big and heartfelt thank-you.
