Arts Interactive is a group/gathering of those interested in
the betterment of the Visual Arts who hold regular meetings on the second
Wednesday of every month.
The next meeting will take place on August 14 and will
feature the eloquent and informative Dr Alex Coutts who will provide an insight
into the Rock Art of the Drakensberg San people.
“Many of us have gazed in awe at illustrations of these
mysterious works, which are acclaimed as among the greatest rock art in the
world. Yet we South Africans know so little about this aspect of our heritage.
The talk will be well illustrated and we will gain insight into the background
and theories regarding these elusive people and the legacy they left behind,”
explains Nicole Susan Pletts of Arts Interactive.
The meeting will take place on August 14 at 18h00 for 18h30 at
the Pub area – Eat Greek of the Hellenic Hall, Browns Drift, Durban North.
Entry R60/head. Dinner will be provided by Eat Greek and drinks can be
purchased. There is secure parking.
NB: RSVP asap for catering purposes. Each Arts Interactive
is specifically catered and pre-ordered – so when patrons cancel just before
Arts Interactive or do not arrive, Arts Interactive is liable to pay for their
food.
