It’s time to don your cowboy hats, boots
and spurs, denim jeans, check shirts and tassels! Practice your howdy’s and yee
ha’s and take a trip with us down Country
Roads.
So says Heritage Theatre in Kloof
publicising their new show featuring everyone’s favourite country artists. Some
from way back such as John Denver, Patsy Cline, Kenny Rogers and the voluptuous
songbird Dolly Parton and then to 90's stars Billy Ray Cyrus, Shania Twain and
more recent Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum, Kid Rock, Mumford & Sons and
many more.
Expect songs like Grandma’s Feather Bed, Achy Breaky Heart, Cotton Eye Joe, Islands in
The Stream and The Devil Went Down to
Georgia as well as modern country songs like All Summer Long, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under, Rock This
Country, What The Cowgirls Do and I
Will Wait.
The show features Lyle Buxton and Marion
Loudon, with Musical Director Calli Thomson on keyboards, Andy Turrell on pedal
steel and electric guitar, Nux Schwartz on guitar, Anita Ruscoe on violin, Jill
Murraybrown on bass and Francois Hardy on drums.
