Entries close on September 28 for the
Tatham Art Gallery’s annual Fabulous
Picture Show in Pietermaritzburg and committee members of FOTAG (Friends of
the Tatham Art Gallery) are once again preparing this annual exhibition.
This is an extremely popular event on the
City of Pietermaritzburg’s social calendar, and a chance to purchase quality
art works for home or office, or as gifts at reasonable prices. Funds raised
assist the Gallery to acquire additions to the permanent collection.
Artists are invited to donate up to three
A4 or A5 original works of art to FOTAG. All two-dimensional art works will be
framed by FOTAG. Small, three dimensional art works are also welcome as are
works on wooden blocks, available in the Gallery Shop.
Fabulous
Picture Show opens on November 17 at 10h30 when tea
will be served in the Main Exhibition Room. Visitors can return daily for
viewing and silent bidding during Gallery hours until 18h00 on November 22,
when the art works will be auctioned from 18h00. All art works will be sold to
the highest bidder and taken home that evening. Credit card facilities will be
available.
On September 28 from 10h00 to 16h00,
members of FOTAG will be at the Gallery to receive entries for the Fabulous Picture Show. Parking is from
Langalibalele Road and there will be a car guard on duty to open the boom.
