GEORGE CLARKE'S AMAZING SPACES

(Architect George Clarke)

The six episode premiere of George Clarke's Amazing Spaces commences tomorrow (September 22) at 18h00 on BBC Lifestyle channel 174 DStv.

Architect George Clarke shows how such big dreams can be achieved in small and affordable places. He delves into the extraordinary world of small builds to meet the highly creative people who are taking tiny, unpromising spaces and creating the most incredible places to live and work and play.

There are homes made out of shipping containers, horseboxes, and old buses. Others are building tiny huts or incredible tree-houses in the middle of the woods. George has a small-build property project of his own, buying a dilapidated caravan for just £300 with the aim of transforming it into a stunning second home for his growing family.

This series sees George meet Tim Sands who has spent his life savings on a piece of overgrown scrubland in the Lake District and, despite his lack of experience, plans to build his very own bolt-hole with incredible views of the national park. He also meets a couple who have invested their life savings in the hope of converting a wreck of a bus into a holiday let.
