The Pietermaritzburg Amateur Music Society and
the Pietermaritzburg City Orchestra will appear in Handel’s Messiah conducted by Robin Walton on November
17 in Pietermaritzburg.
Singers
who have previously sung Messiah or
who have a knowledge of the work are warmly invited to join the PAMS choir for
this performance. The first weekly rehearsal will be held on September 24 from 19h00
to 21h00 at St Mary's Church Hall (Jabu Ndlovu Street) in Pietermaritzburg.
If
possible, singers should attend all eight Tuesday night rehearsals in September
and October and also one additional Saturday rehearsal date to be confirmed which
will be compulsory. Also compulsory will be the Saturday rehearsal on November 16
prior to the concert with soloists and orchestra.

Handel’s Messiah will take place at 14h30 on November 17 at the Mokitimi
Methodist Seminary (SMMS) at 115 Golf Rd, Epworth in Pietermaritzburg. Extra
parking is available on adjacent Epworth School grounds. Tickets R10 include
tea, coffee and scones.
