Made possible through the support of the KZN Department of
Economic development and the eThekwini Municipality, the KwaZulu-Natal United
Music Industry Association (KUMISA) is seeking to fill eight two-year term
Board of Directors positions.
The KUMISA Board of Directors is an active leadership group
committed to providing the highest standards of excellence for the Association.
Board members must be willing to spend a significant amount of time throughout
the year on the continuous development and oversight of KUMISA’s many
programmes and services.
Upon election, each Board Member selects an area of work in
the organisation to dedicate their time and efforts to, including Professional
Development, Marketing, Membership, Budget and Finance, Industry Partnerships,
and beyond.
In addition, board members should be prepared to represent
the organisation to members, prospective members, and the music industry.
Anyone thinking they can add value or contribute to this
cause, is requested make their nomination for the upcoming Board elections
scheduled to take place on January 30, 2014, at 09h00 at the Hilton Hotel,
Durban. Nominations should reach Thuthu Mbhele on or before 16h00 on January 15,
2014.
Those wishing to nominate or vote, must be registered as a
KUMISA member before December 31, 2013. Registration is free via the KUMISA
website (www.kumisa.com)

January 28 at 15h00: Last day for submission of pre/proxy
voting.
