(Gary
McKenzie, John Didlick & Grant Bell)
The ever-popular Gee Jays are back at the
Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest, for two weeks only, with a special compilation
show of some of their finest and funniest material. The show is aptly titled Snippets.
At the behest of many of their long time
fans, The Gee Jays - Gary McKenzie, Grant Bell and John Didlick - have put
together a selection of songs and sketches from all their shows, and re-visit
some of the most hilarious moments in their illustrious career.
With excerpts from their first smash hit
shows Not The Full Monty, The Three
Tonners, and Book Club to their
later successes, Bad Moon Rising, Who’s
Your Daddy and Boep Idles.
Expect all the old favourites from The
Beatles to Roy Orbison, Michael Jackson to Elvis and Tom Jones to Robbie
Wessels.
“We re-visit how men can multi-task,” says Gary
McKenzie. “There’s some brain-numbing red-neck antics and even a message from
“The Arch” thrown in for good measure. The show, however, is not for the feint
hearted and does carry a health warning. Some slight pain in the cheek muscles
and tummy may be experienced. Stay away if you have misplaced your sense of
humour.”
Snippets runs from January 28 to February
9 at the Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest. Tickets R185 Tuesday dinner and Sunday
lunch and R215 Wednesday to Saturday including a two course meal. Show only option available at R130pp (no meal included)
There are three promotional “low price
previews” on January 28, 29 and 30 when tickets will be on a R215 pp
buy-one-get-one-free basis. Bookings can be made on 031 765 4197 or online at www.heritagetheatre.co.za
