In December 2013, Grapefruit Press produced
a book of line drawings by Andrew Verster. Now 10 images from the book have
been selected and enlarged to an A3 format and Artisan Gallery is offering them
to prospective colourists who would like to enter this competition.
The competition is limited to 10 different
images, printed on 140gm quality paper. An entrant may purchase more than one
image.
The fee is R50 per image and this will
purchase your print to be coloured in. Entry to the competition stands you a
chance to win one of the prizes, and an invitation to the opening function to
see it hanging in the gallery. The opening of the exhibition is May 21 at 18h00
for 18h30. Winners will be announced and prizes given.
The deadline for submissions is on or
before May 17. Judging date is May 19 and the works will be hung on May 20 for
the opening of the exhibition on May 21. Exhibitors will need to collect their
work on May 31.
The opening event will be hosted at Artisan
Gallery. The hanging of the works will done mainly by Artisan staff, with the
assistance of not more than 2 Committee members. t the opening event Artisan
will provide a cash bar facility, a barman and a car guard. A small selection
of snacks will be provided, but additional snacks provided by the committee or
participants are welcomed.
