Zulu TV has announced it will hold its
call-back auditions from Friday to Sunday, April 11 to 13, 2014, between 08h30
and 17h00 daily.
The auditions will take place in the hall
adjacent to KZN Music House, situated at 1 Derby Street corner Ingcuce (formerly
Epsom) Road, Greyville, in Durban.
Aspirant TV presenters, actors and
voice-over artists who were successful in the last lot of auditions held are
invited to attend the call-back auditions. The call-back auditions on April 11 will
be exclusively for presenters, those on April 12 will be for TV actors, and the
auditions on April 13 will be for voice-over artists. Once the call-back
auditions have happened, further auditions may take place for other applicants,
depending on time available.
"Zulu TV is scheduled to go live on
air on June 1, 2014, which coincides with my birthday," says Mbongeni
Ngema, the principal role-player behind this new initiative which is set to
make its imprint on the landscape of South African television.
KZN-based Zulu TV will be flighted
throughout sub-Saharan Africa via a satellite that has been launched into space
by ETV's Openview HD. Primarily a lifestyle channel, Zulu TV aims to screen
high quality programmes in High Definition format, with a strong emphasis on
local productions.
In addition to music programmes, content
will include coverage of heritage, tourism, arts and culture, lifestyle,
magazines programmes, as well as musical theatre, drama, sitcoms, movies, short
films, documentaries, religion and current affairs, with internet link up
through social networking.
