Directed by George C Woolf (2008), this
romantic drama marks the third on-screen pairing of Diane Lane (Under the Tuscan Sun, The Perfect Storm)
and Richard Gere (Pretty Woman, An
Officer and a Gentleman), after the two appeared together in Unfaithful and The Cotton Club.
Lane plays Adrienne Willis, who flees her
domestic woes and retreats to a tiny coastal town to tend a friend’s inn for
the weekend. The only guest is Dr Paul Flanner (Gere), who has his own crisis
of conscience to mull over.
With a storm closing in, the two turn to
each other for comfort and, in one magical weekend, set in motion a
life-changing romance.
