The Pietermaritzburg City Orchestra and the
Choir of the Pietermaritzburg Amateur Music Society (PAMS) will present a Winter
Concert of Popular Classics on June 8. Conductors will be David Plank and Robin
Walton.
The programme includes a strong selection
of classical works by Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms with choral pieces from Verdi,
Hoffmann and others. Leader Matthias Scriba will perform the second movement of
Paganini’s Violin Concerto No.5 and there will be a selection of music from film
soundtracks.
The concert takes place on June 8 at 14h30 in
