(Madhu Maharaj, Verushka Odayen & Kumseela Naidoo)

Running at Catalina Theatre is The Dingalings’ For Better or Worse, a drama written and directed by Koobeshan Naidoo.

The hour and a half play takes a poignant look at the lives of three women who are thrust together for a weekend while their husbands are away on a fishing trip. Koobeshan deals with all the sensitive issues that plague these three generations of Indian women. They are married to three brothers and what transpires over the weekend threatens their relationship with each other as well as their marriages.

Naidoo presents this charming story that looks at women’s roles in the family and in the workplace and challenges the many stereotypes about Indian women. The play is staged as a tribute to women and mothers in the month of August. This production shows off the talents of Dingalings stalwart Kumseela Naidoo with Verushka Odayen and Madhu Maharaj.
