The next LiPS (Live Poets Society) meeting will take place
on August 6 with Sivan Tamam featured as the guest poet.
Sivan Tamam modestly states “I am one with words but also
one without. I find it hard to express myself but poetry helps”.
Taman says that she has been writing for a long time, ever
since she could read. It was mostly “little girl stuff” but that's where and
when her love for words began. She is a computer engineer so writing is a
pleasure to her and also offers her an escape from the hardships of rigid
studying. She is a sentimental person and her writing reflects that. When she is
in love she writes love poems and when she is hurting, everyone can tell by the
poems she writes.
She writes very personal poetry whether it is about love or
hate or whatever is going on inside her. With her “Deepness is the key”. She
writes spontaneously as her thoughts flow and feelings come to her .
The LiPS Rendezvous will take place on August 6 at 17h30 for
18h00 at A Novel Idea, 157 Blair Atholl Road, Westville North (next door to the
vet). Admission is free
