M-Net Sunday Night Blockbusters on Channel 101 at 20h05 include:

August 10:  Despicable Me 2, an animated adventure directed by Pierre Coffin and starring Russell Brand and Benjamin Bratt. Gru, the world's most lovable villain, and his minions are back in this Oscar-nominated adventure. Steve Carell and Kristin Wiig add their voices to a film as good as the original.

August 17: Captain Phillips directed by Paul Greengrass. Starring Tom Hanks in this Oscar nominated film based on a true story about a Captain and his crew who faced their fears head-on as they were hijacked by Somali pirates. Also starring Catherine Keener and Barkhad.

August 24: Safe Haven directed by Adam Tyfoe and starring: Donald Pleasance and Miranda Pleasance. Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough start over in this sentimental Nicholas Sparks (Dear John, The Notebook) adaptation about rediscovering love. Duhamel is a broken-hearted widower, while Hough is a woman with a mysterious and unhappy past.

August 31: Pacific Rim. A science fiction adventure directed by Guillermo Del Toro and starring Idris Elba and Charlie Day. Giant robots take on giant aliens in this colossal blockbuster from the director of Hellboy. Charlie Hunnam brings a human side to the awesomely destructive machines.
