Jabulani Cele’s exhibition, Different Situations, is running in artSPACE durban’s Middle
Gallery:
Different Situations
is about telling the stories of people. Cele is inspired by the situations that
people face on a daily basis, things that people go through to make a living
and survive. People must expect to see how people live their lives in this 21st
century from his point of view as an artist.
Jabulani Douglas Cele was born in Kwa Mashu and grew up in
Dube Village, Inanda. He was commissioned by eThekwini Municipality to paint
rural football scenes that hang proudly in the Presidential Suite of the Moses
Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
The exhibition runs until October 11. artSPACE durban is situated at 3 Millar Road (off Umgeni Road) close
