(“Colman’s Mustard”
by Heidi Shedlock)
Gallery 415 is hosting an exciting new exhibition by Heidi
Shedlock.
A Durban artist and art teacher, Shedlock provides a glimpse
into her world with this collection of small format daily paintings of everyday
objects and possessions that are often taken for granted. Her discipline in
tasking herself with a painting a day has resulted in a fascinating collection
of expressive and stylish little paintings where the viewer can appreciate her
progress during the course of a full year into the accomplished artist she has
now become.
By promoting herself through various internet platforms and
blogs under the banner of Paintings in the Post, Shedlock has
become an inspiration to other artists' and sought after by collectors all over
the world.
Heidi Shedlock’s exhibition runs until November 14 with a walkabout:
on November 1 at 09h30. There will be an Open Studio even on November 8 from 09h30
when she will be doing her daily painting "live" in the gallery for
anyone interested in observing her techniques.
Gallery 415 is situated at 415 Umgeni Rd, Durban. For more
