The Writers'
Guild of South Africa will present a talk by Jacintha Timothy titled Optioning your Script and Deeds Of Assignment and one
by Martin Schultheiss titled Igniting and Bringing Clarity to your Dreams.
Jacintha Timothy
was awarded a scholarship to attend the prestigious Los Angeles Film School
(LAFS) to study producing. In South Africa she worked as an executive producer
for E-TV, was head of CVET a community based film school in Cape Town and
produced the feature film Othello.
After graduating from LAFS she worked in Los Angeles at a boutique talent
agency representing such talent as Eva Longoria and Ken Jeong of Hangover fame.
Her seven years in Los Angeles has given her an inside to the way Hollywood
works and has taught her some secrets to negotiating contracts.
Martin Schultheiss
is a CEO and leadership motivational speaker.
The talks will take
place on November 26 from 17h30 to 19h00 at the Durban University of Technology’s
Department of Drama, Steve Biko Road. There is secure parking opposite the
Courtyard Theatre.
