Friends show that will take place at The Barnyard Theatre on December 22.
When you hear the name Dan Patlansky, it
immediately conjures up images of the genius guitarist, singer/songwriter and
globally respected purveyor of the Blues that he is. So, Durban is in for a
treat when Dan puts together a special show featuring musical friends in what
will be his last for 2014, to be performed at The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway
on December 22.
This is a fitting way to end a busy and successful year,
with highlights including - Dan’s seventh 10-track album, Dear Silent Thieves, launching in May with a national tour (with
the Durban launch at the same venue) and this same album having just been voted
Number 1 Blues Rock Album in the World by Blues Rock Review/USA; performing as
opening act for Bruce Springsteen’s tour to South Africa; and having recently
got back from a European tour which included Fjord Blues Festival in Norway and
headlining the Horsens Festival in Denmark.
Now, Dan will finish this remarkable year at this popular
mall venue, with musical friends making guest appearances. Joining him on stage
will be Brad Klynsmith (Gangs of Ballet), Ard Matthews (Just Jinjer), old
friend Guy Buttery and others.
