THE LIBRARIANS

(Noah Wyle)

Brand new and exclusive, airing on Universal Channel on December 8 at 20h50, within 24 hours of the US premiere.

The Librarians is a brand new action-packed family series promising adventure, suspense and magic for the small screen. Starring Rebecca Romijn and Noah Wyle, The Librarians centres on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library in New York, dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around.

An ancient evil organization called The Serpent Brotherhood, lead by the mysterious immortal Dulaque (Matt Frewer) and his dangerous assassin Lamia (South African born Lesley-Ann Brandt) are threatening to destroy technology and bring back the age of magic. It falls to The Librarian Flynn Carsen (Noah Wyle) and Colonel Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn) to recruit three extraordinary people who were once Librarian candidates themselves:

Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth) – a hospital attendant whose life-threatening brain tumour has given her the gift of synaesthesia – the ability to link all five senses to her memory. She is particularly skilled in math and science; Jacob Stone (Christian Kane) – a cowboy from Oklahoma who works on oil pipeline and is secretly a published scholar in the fields of art and history, and Ezekiel Jones (John Kim) – a world-class thief with an alarming lack of conscience and a knack for getting in and out of tight spots.

Things go from bad to worse, however, when The Librarians figure out the Brotherhood’s ominous endgame – to introduce magic back into the world. If they fail to stop the Brotherhood’s plans, the world will be plunged into a new Dark Age. But if they succeed, and survive, they will become the new Librarians.
