DUrbanTV produces
community and entertainment programming for DUrbanites, ex-Durbanites and
visitors to Durban.
DurbanTV was born
out of the need for a local channel that covers Durban events as national
broadcasters have become even more centralised and less regionally active over
the years. As a direct result of this, Durbanites don't realise the many events
and happenings that are available on an on-going basis throughout their own
city.
With new media
technology it is now possible to have a truly regional TV channel that anyone
can access via the internet. DUrbanTV has taken on the challenge and is working
to ensure Durbanites see their city in all its glory.
Currently DUrbanTV
has received 50,000 views across its website and social media pages, and has
achieved over 1.5 million impressions on FB alone, not only proving its
popularity but also the need for such a dedicated Durban-focused channel .
DUrbanTV needs
views, Likes and shares to ensure that the channel grows viewer base and to enable
DUrbanTV to communicate with its audience, enabling both viewer and channel to
know more about the people, places and events taking place around the city.
Of course DUrbanTV
requires funding and/or advertisers to support the channel and therefore help
to promote the arts and all things Durban. It offers a great opportunity for
sponsors to show their affiliation to Durban events and to get that event and
themselves seen by an audience which is growing every day.
DUrbanTV can
negotiate any additional advertising or promotion of sponsors around the
inserts and directly on the website page, as well as across all its social
media pages to add to the visibility of the sponsor & the event.
