Appearing in the Mondays @ Six programme at St Clements on
Monday (February 23) will be Durban-based Ewok and Charles Amblard from France
in a programme of guitar and voice, poetry and music and Spoken Word Hip Hop.
This is an opportunity to enjoy the essence of the Blues
Rocking Hip Hop band, Blue Gene, and patrons will experience the live blueprint
of a fresh Blue Gene production.
Both independent international artists have a wealth of
combined experience in staging their craft across genres, sharing the stage
with contemporary dance companies in a variety of musical styles, before coming
together in 2012 as guest artists of the French-SA Seasons.
They have toured South Africa and France, travelling from
Oppikoppi in 2012 to the prestigious Paris Jazz Festival in 2013, consolidating
their live compositions into two EP's and a full length album These Meditations (ITunes). Charles
Amblard returns to Durban this year to begin work on a new album with Ewok.
St Clements is
situated at 191 Musgrave Road. Mondays @ Six run between 18h00 and 19h00.
Booking is advised on 031 202 2511. There is no cover charge but there is a
