Written and performed
by Francis Mennigke, Morgue is a dark comedy about a journey into the underworld
of first world bureaucracy and will be presented at the Schlesinger Theatre at Michaelhouse
on February 6.
Morgue can only be
described as a masterful one-man comedy, performed in the traditions of
physical theatre by the talented Francis Mennigke. An old boy of Michaelhouse,
Mennigke has recently returned from Canada. The production was a 2014
Ovation winner at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.
As world domination by a corporate colossus looms, Slim, a coroner with
multiple personality disorder, becomes compelled to find out why three fresh
cadavers have taken control of his mind.
There will
be one performance of Morgue on
February 6 at 19h30 in the Schlesinger Theatre at Michaelhouse. Tickets R80
