Charlie Berea & The Survivors, a three piece band consisting
of Rick & Gill Andrew and master guitarist Alan Judd (the AXMAN) will
appear at the Mondays @ Six programme at St Clements on Monday (May 25).
They will perform their usual guitar-driven folk rock, consisting
of their own compositions and a sprinkling of covers by Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Paul
Mc Cartney, Leonard Cohen and Bobby Mc Ferrin.
The following Monday (June 1), Mondays @ Six will present Fallible Fables - fabulous stories with
a moral ... and a twist in the tail read by Gisele Turner, Jane Ross and Pieter
Scholtz. These stories include humorous and lightly satirical (subversive)
debates between the Creator and a creature he has created. Stories to be read
are Gecko and the Moon; The Soul of Frog;
Star-crossed Lovers and The Ugly
Caterpillar.
