Durban welcomes back one of the city’s favourite musical
theatre performers, Crystal Tyron-Singh in an inspiring Youth Day event at 14h00
on June 16. I Make a Difference is a
youth day afternoon programme to empower young people. It forms part of the CAI
(Christian Arts Initiative) Outreach.
The programme falls under the artistic direction of KZN
youth trailblazer Yashika Naidoo, who is a young UKZN graduate and production
coordinator for television series Uzalo
as well as the international series The
Xtra Factor SA. The MC is Julia Petersen, Durban’s only finalist in the
2014 Miss S A pageant.
The line-up of inspiring interactive presenters include:
Verb, top finalist in So You Think You Can
Dance season 3 (2013); Calvin Goge, young poet; Michelle Williamson, Idols finalist in 2009; Mawanda, an
accomplished choreographer, TV personality and entrepreneur; Saneliswe Precious
Ngubane, a youth academic achiever with her Masters in medical science, and
others.
I Make a Difference
takes place at Catalina Theatre, Wilson’s Wharf, on June 16 and runs from 14h00
