The Rickshaw invites art students and young established
artists to partake in an exhibition surrounding the theme of Fixations, Obsessions and Preoccupations
which will run from June 25 to July 2.
Fixations, Obsessions
and Preoccupations explores and focuses on the psychological or physical
manic obsession or fascination with an object or subject. Artists are
encouraged to broadly explore the theme. There are no restrictions regarding
size or choice of medium. Artists may submit new or pre-existing work.
Artworks must be submitted for selection by June 19, 2015,
from 10h00 to 15h00 at Rickshaw.
Each artist may submit two works for selection. Work must be
labelled clearly with the artist’s name and contact details as well as
necessary details pertaining to the artwork, including pricing (optional). All
artworks must be ready for hanging. Any equipment required in the displaying of
the work must be provided by the artist.
Artists will be notified by email on June 20 if their work
has been selected. Artworks not chosen will need to be collected before 15h00
on June 22.
The artworks selected will be shown in the exhibition on
opening night June 25 at 18h30.

and Preoccupations runs from June 25 until July 2 at The Rickshaw, 106
