It’s never too soon to start planning your next getaway – so
if you like the idea of unwinding in a stunning setting while enjoying a great
line-up of live acoustic acts, then White Mountain 2015 will be just the
ticket!
It’s also White Mountain’s 10th festival this year and the
organisers plan on making it a celebration to remember!
Running from September 24 (Heritage Day) to 27, the festival
is held at White Mountain Lodge near Giant’s Castle, only 185km from Durban, 400km
from Johannesburg and just 25km off the N3 on tarred roads.
Artists already confirmed include festival favourites
Margaret’s Daughter, Johannesburg folk swing outfit Rubber Duc, as well as
Australian duo Jamie MacDowell and Tom Thum, a not-to-be-missed collaboration
that combines heartfelt songwriting and melodic finger-work with world-class
beatboxing.
Aside from the music, festival-goers can also look forward
to colourful arts and crafts, a variety of food and drink outlets, plus loads
of outdoor adventure activities – all set against a backdrop of the scenic
central Drakensberg. Not forgetting the lodge’s spacious grounds, fishable dam,
playground, swimming pool and charming old pub offering satellite TV and live
music.
Known for its intimate, relaxed atmosphere, White Mountain
is one of the best-kept secrets on the music festival circuit and the perfect
(long) weekend escape!
Early Bird tickets are available at Computicket
for R500 until the end of June and include camping (R125 children aged 4 to 11).
