TIME TO BOOK FOR WHITE MOUNTAIN 2015

KZN’s only acoustic music festival, White Mountain is the perfect opportunity to escape the city and unwind in a stunning setting while enjoying a great line-up of live acoustic acts, plus so much more!

The festival will take place from September 24 to 27, offering patrons the opportunity to take advantage of the Heritage Day public holiday and make a long-weekend of it.

Known for its intimate, relaxed atmosphere, the festival is held at White Mountain Lodge in the foothills of the Giant's Castle Nature Reserve, only 185km from Durban, 400km from Johannesburg and just 25km off the N3, tarred roads all the way. With its spacious grounds, fishable dam, swimming pool and charming old pub (with satellite TV and live music), the lodge’s many amenities add another dimension to the usual festival experience.

Performing at White Mountain this year (and guaranteed to make the 10th festival a celebration to remember!) are the likes of Matthew Mole, Rowan Stuart, Rubber Duc, Margaret’s Daughter, Howie Combrink, Connecting Stars, Holly and The Woods, Shomon, Tuin, Bad Peter, Majozi, Gugz and the Bam Bam, and Early Hours.

There’s also the international Australian duo Jamie MacDowell and Tom Thum, a not-to-be-missed collaboration that combines heartfelt songwriting and melodic finger-work with world-class beatboxing.

Also on offer are colourful arts and crafts, a wide variety of food and drink outlets, several local craft breweries, plus loads of outdoor leisure activities.

Tickets are available at Computicket and include entry to the festival campsite overlooking the dam. For more information and programme updates, visit www.c-weed.com/wmf or call 031 563 0824.

NB: In addition to the festival camping area, there is also a caravan park where campers and caravanners can enjoy large grassed sites with electricity points and separate ablution blocks. To enquire about rates and check on availability, contact White Mountain Lodge at whitemountain@telkomsa.net or 036 353 3437. (Unfortunately the chalet accommodation is already fully booked)
