ANIMATION ON M-NET MOVIES

Top quality animation movies to look out for on M-Net are Penguins Of Madagascar and Finding Nemo.

Penguins of Madagascar can be seen on M-Net Movies Premiere DStv Channel 103 on September 12 at 18h20. Directed in 2014 by Eric Darnell and Simon J Smith, the movie features the voices of Tom McGrath, John Malkovich and Chris Miller.

John Malkovich is not an actor one can easily picture as a voice artist in a warm and fuzzy film about penguins... until it transpires that he is not a hopping and shuffling water bird, but a slimy and slithery mollusc on a mission. Cuteness can be an extremely useful asset in most circumstances, but four huggable penguins - Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico – find themselves in a spot of bother when they become a target of the envious Dr Octavius Brine, an undercover octopus who wasn’t cute enough for the zoo.

Finding Nemo follows on September 13 on M-Net Movies Family DStv Channel 105 at 19h00. Directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich in  2003, the movie features the voices of Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres and Alexander Gould.

In the early years of the new millennium, Pixar churned out one hit after another. Among those, Finding Nemo stood out for its mix of humour and heart-rending moments. Who on earth – or under the sea – can resist such a gorgeous little creature?

Nemo is a tiny clown fish who gets separated from his father, and soon finds himself in unknown waters with no direction home. His daddy follows up every conceivable lead in order to stay on his trail in a thrilling – and scary – adventure that reaches a dramatic climax in Sydney Harbour.
