HELP FOR WENTWORTH VICTIMS

Clint Leverton, who is one of the Live Wires supporting theatre productions, works at Wentworth Victim Friendly Centre based at Wentworth Police Station.

“We deal with all cases of domestic violence and abuse as well as a myriad of other issues pertaining to the community in which we live,” he explains. “The ladies who work here work purely on a voluntary basis and have done so for more than 10 years. When it comes to this time of the year, we as activists in the community like to honour them by treating them to lunch/dinner as a token of appreciation for all the hard and often thankless work that they do.”

This year the Centre would like to treat them to a dinner at the Elangeni Hotel and in order to do so sponsorship is needed for them.

The cost of the dinner treat will be R270 pp and they have 11 ladies they would like to treat. If you are able to sponsor at least one lady for dinner this year, contact co-ordinator Jenny Gomes on 031 451 6200 or 083 632 5798 or Clint Leverton on 084 077 0388, or wentworthvictimfriendly@gmail.com
