Into The Woods is a superlative screen adaptation of the
Stephen Sondheim Broadway hit musical of the same name. Judging by the high
regard it has garnered from audiences and critics alike, it is set to become a
classic, following in the footsteps of Cabaret,
The Bird Cage and Amadeus.
A baker and his
wife in a small village have only one dream: A child of their own. But a wicked
witch appears and tells them they are cursed and can only reverse it but
showering her with magical gifts that are virtually impossible to obtain.
Into The Woods can be seen this evening (October 9) at 17h55
on M-Net Movies Premiere DStv Channel 103. Directed by Rob Marshall in 2014, it
stars Anna Kendrick, Meryl Streep and Chris Pine.
