(Nicholas Nicholaidis)
The KZN Philharmonic’s Spring season climaxes on October 22 when
concert-goers can look forward to performances of Richard Strauss’s lushly
scored orchestral tone poem, Death and
Transfiguration, followed by Carl Orff’s grand-scale secular cantata, Carmina Burana.
Set to reprise their appearances in the latter work as
performed last year, are soprano Beverley Chiat, tenor Nicholas Nicholaidis and
baritone Njabulo Madlala.
The programme starts at 19h30 on October 22 and booking is
through Computicket on 0861 915 8000 or online at www.computicket.com
NB: There will be a pre-concert lecture (also in the City Hall) at
18h15 given by artSMart reviewer, Michael Green.
