Santa Claus and his reindeers are coming to town soon with
the Dance Movement Christmas
production to be hosted at the Jubilee Hall on December 12.
The production will showcase a variety of all the favourite
Christmas songs like Jingle Bells, Hark
the Herald Angels Sing and many more songs remixed into hip hop and house
music that the dancers will perform in hip hop, break dancing and street style
choreography.
Artistic director Jarryd Watson, says: “I’m really excited
and nervous about this production as we have never produced a Christmas
production and also this one is a little different with the chosen Hip Hop
remixes the dancers are performing to. I do know Durban audiences are in for a
treat with this production to enjoy.”
The production also features Durban’s funny man Carvin
Goldstone who will be doing stand-up comedy and entertaining the audiences with
some Christmas jokes. Also appearing will be singer Rory Booth who will perform
all-time favourite Christmas songs with his strong vocals bringing the
Christmas spirit to all.
