Grace Kotze’s Loading Bay Gallery opens its doors for the
first time in Durban tonight (December 18) at 15 Station Road.
Among the large line-up of artists for the first show at
Loading Bay Gallery are Hendrik Stroebel,Christiaan Diedericks, Peter Rippon, Corné Eksteen, Jeannie
Kinsler, Sarah Lovejoy, Sarah Richards, Terence King, Pascale Chandler, Grace
Kotze, Deidre Maree, Louise Jennings, Nikhil Tricam, Jane Oliver, Ashley
Viljoen, Celeste Bredin, Claude Chandler, Melody French, Lee Scott Hempson,
Marinda Du Toit, Celeste Bredin , Suraya Tewary and Wesley van Eeden.
“I am a great believer in supporting established artists
while helping developing artists gain a name for themselves,” says Kotze. “Being
an artist is a very difficult career, to both sustain one’s path and become recognised.
Loading Bay Gallery will be one of the stepping stones that will hopefully aid
many talented artists.”
Loading Bay Gallery’s official opening takes place tomorrow
(December 18) from 18h00 to 20h30 and all are welcome. The gallery is housed in
Con Amore Home adjoining Mo Noodles, Terrence Bray Design and Saint Verde Botanicals.
