(Anthony Stonier &
Darren King)
Durban’s Adult Pantomime and the annual family pantomime
have long been favourites of KZN audiences. The Panto dames, too, have long
been audience favourites.
Anthony Stonier has been the dame in every Adult Pantomime
since the very first one back in 1996. Darren King has been the dame in every
family panto since Kickstart began producing them.
Have you ever wondered what goes on backstage in a
production? The truth is about to be revealed in a hilarious comedy/musical, The Art of Being Ugly, which centres on
Lou and Lav. Ugly Sisters in a long running production of Cinderella, we meet them as they are about to do the 337th

Join them in their dressing room as they joke, tease and
cajole each other into one more performance. This production was voted by Billy
Suter (Arts Editor of The Mercury) as one of his five best productions at last
years Hilton Arts Festival.
