GRAN TORINO

Clint Eastwood, a Hollywood icon for more than 50 years, returned to the screen in 2008 after a four year absence to deliver a stirring performance as a troubled Vietnam veteran in Gran Torino.  One of his sons, Scott, plays a supporting part and another, Kyle, wrote the score.

Gran Torino can be seen on the M-Net Movies Action+ DStv Channel 106 on April 12 at 20h00. Directed by Eastwood in 2008, the film also stars Bee Vang and Christopher Carley.

Walt Kowalski, an embittered war veteran who bears deep psychological scars, confronts a young man who tries to steal his most prized possession, a 1972 Gran Torino. To his surprise, he bonds with the youngster and makes a decision that has a profound effect on his own life and views. Rating 16VL
