(Jayshree Parasuramen plays the fake exorcist)
Ronnie Govender’s latest outlandish musical comedy hits Sibaya this weekend – back by public demand.

Internationally acclaimed playwright, Ronnie Govender’s outlandish musical comedy, Your Own Dog Won’t Bite You tells the hilarious story of the Jugmohan family which is experiencing problems. Mr Jugmohan’s trucks keep breaking down, Mrs Jugmohan is plagued by illness and their wayward son is neglecting his studies.

Believing that her family is bewitched, Mrs Jugmohan calls in a faith healer to capture the spirit which is haunting them, despite her husband’s objections. The result is a hilarious romp. The original music is composed and recorded by Ramesh Hassen who produced the hit song, My Wife Saw Me Talking to Another Girl.

Your Own Dog Won’t Bite You runs at the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya on April 15 and 16. Tickets from R100 booked through Computicket and the Sibaya Box Office. For more information visit or follow Sibaya on
