The Elizabeth Gordon Gallery is hosting a selection of works
by KZN artist Karen Fortune.
In spite of living in Durban, Fortune has only exhibited in
Johannesburg, so Elizabeth Gordon notes that they are delighted that she has
now given them her works.
“Karen’s paintings fall into the hyper-realistic genre, with
ultra fine detail. She is passionate about our land and enjoys painting Southern
African landscapes, houses – usually abandoned and derelict – and, often garage
doors,” explains Elizabeth Gordon Gallery owner Joy Reynolds. “Please pop into
the Gallery to see these paintings - her attention to detail is something to be
marvelled at!”
Fortune is an accomplished and dedicated mountain biker and
her travels through KZN has encouraged her to add KZN scenes to her repertoire.
