By Dianne Stewart, Dudu’s
Basket is a delightful story book following the journey of Dudu’s basket through
a number of cultures. It is beautifully illustrated by award-winning
illustrator, Elizabeth Pulles.
When Dudu finishes weaving her first basket, by the light of
the plump full moon, her uncle Jojo tells her that a first basket should always
be given away ... Baskets, woven from locally sourced materials are widely used
and re-used in African society.
Dianne Stewart is an award-winning author who has published
many highly acclaimed children’s books and others on African culture, both
locally and internationally. She has degrees in African languages and
