The ever-affable, gracious and community spirited musician
René Tshiakanyi will host a one-off sundowner Hope Concert at the Alliance Française
de Durban for one night only, September 29, as a fundraiser for Lifeline Durban
Tshiakanyi has gathered some of his musician friends for a
feel-good, eclectic musical evening soiree. Joining Tshiakanyi on the bill are
singers Durban-based singer, pianist and songwriter Chloe Clark; lyrical
soprano and actress, Camilla Rogers, and jazz singer and administrator Thulile
Zama (from Heels Over Head), as well as master percussionist Richard Ellis.
Owner of Fusion café at the Alliance, Shaun Smith, has put
together a light and affordable menu for the evening – with options for
vegetarians; a pudding menu and a cheeseboard, and the coffee machine will be
on, and the bar will be open.
It is advisable to book meals ahead of time. Tickets R100 pp.
