RENE TSHIAKANYI HOPE CONCERT

(René Tshiakanyi)

The ever-affable, gracious and community spirited musician René Tshiakanyi will host a one-off sundowner Hope Concert at the Alliance Française de Durban for one night only, September 29, as a fundraiser for Lifeline Durban

Tshiakanyi has gathered some of his musician friends for a feel-good, eclectic musical evening soiree. Joining Tshiakanyi on the bill are singers Durban-based singer, pianist and songwriter Chloe Clark; lyrical soprano and actress, Camilla Rogers, and jazz singer and administrator Thulile Zama (from Heels Over Head), as well as master percussionist Richard Ellis.

Owner of Fusion café at the Alliance, Shaun Smith, has put together a light and affordable menu for the evening – with options for vegetarians; a pudding menu and a cheeseboard, and the coffee machine will be on, and the bar will be open.

It is advisable to book meals ahead of time. Tickets R100 pp. For advance booking contact the Alliance Française on 031 312 9582 or purchase tickets at the door.

The concert takes place at 19h00 (doors open at 18h00). The Alliance Française de Durban is situated at 22 Sutton Crescent, Morningside.
