ST JOHN & TANYA & HUNDERMARK FOR MMC

Next week Maritzburg Musicians’ Club's get-together (October 18) will feature musicians and performers St John & Tanya as well as Pietermaritzburg born Josh Hundermark (now Cape-Town based) on acoustic guitar.

St John & Tanya are an emotive vocal-piano ensemble with jazz and blues influences. Bringing laid-back jazz vocals with twists to contemporary numbers, St John & Tanya display their belief that without “heart” music is lost.

Josh Hundermark is a folk artist whose roots are deeply set in his Pietermaritzburg upbringing. His sound is both soothing and intense with an emotional transparency that aims to connect with each listener. His influences include a variety of artists both international and local producing a unique sound and experience.

These musicians will appear at La Casa on October 18. Doors open at 19h00. Entrance R40.

The home of the Maritzburg Musicians Club, La Casa (formerly The Red Door) is situated in Quarry Road, off Victoria Road, in Pietermaritzburg. Car guards on duty. More information from Roger O’Neill on 083 230 6562
