ARTWORKS are
rolling in to the Tatham Art Gallery for the seventh edition of The Fabulous Picture Show, the Friends
of the Tatham Art Gallery’s (FOTAG) major annual fundraising auction and fun
event, happening on November 25.
However, not all
artists had their work completed by the first deadline for submissions, and
donations will now be accepted until October 21, 2016.
So, artists, get
busy, and take your masterpiece along to the Tatham. Reena will be accepting
them, either on Tuesday afternoons which is the official time for submissions,
or during normal office hours. It’s all in a good cause, allowing FOTAG to
raise money for the buying of new work for the gallery’s permanent collection.
Last year, over 200 donated artworks were sold, raising over R83,000, and it
would be wonderful to top that.
The call is out for
artists to donate up to three unframed, original artwork – artists can check
details and dimensions on the FOTAG website at www.fotag.co.za
All works in the
prescribed size will be framed by FOTAG before the auction. 3D works are welcome, but not bigger than the
A4 dimensions.
