A call out has been sent for auditions for Giving Birth To My Father written by
Wiseman Mncube and directed by Menzi Mkhwane, both award-winning theatre
personalities.
Auditions will take place on January 4, 2017, in the Playhouse
Company’s A1 venue at 09h00.
This one woman show is about a woman in prison who is about
to get out but she's afraid to face the outside world.
The production team are looking for someone who is a woman,
fluent in English and isiZulu and who has studied Drama or has been involved in
community theatre trainings. She must be flexible.
Auditionees must prepare an isiZulu monologue and an English
monologue. This is a physical theatre piece so auditionees are asked to bring
comfortable clothes. They also may be asked to improvise.
