Hot on the heels of the exciting news that Australian
megastars The Temper Trap will be headlining at the iconic Splashy Fen Music
Festival 2017, event organisers are eager to share the next batch of local and
international artists who will be filling the rolling hills of Underberg with
their sweet sounds over the Easter weekend next year.
The Splashy Fen 2017 Phase Two Acts include some of South
Africa’s favourites: the hugely successful Parlotones, Shortstraw, Rubber DUC and
Veranda Panda all add to an already exciting line-up.
In addition, a musical treat awaits Splashy Fenners next
year as America’s Rodney Branigan – Splashy Fen’s second international artist -
has confirmed his presence at the event and has included Splashy on his
festival-to-do list.
Having toured the world several times, and supporting
artists such as Jack Johnson, Billy Bragg and G-Love, Rodney proves he is top
of his craft. Never failing to please an audience, Rodney’s musical magic
includes performing with two guitars at once and a delightful song writing
ability that will have the audience cheering for more.
Over 200 musicians will perform for fans across five unique
stage areas throughout the iconic four-day festival – with the new Treehouse stage
set to add a whimsical element to the festivities. Other acts include The
Springbok Nude Girls, Jack Parow, December Streets, Desmond and the Tutus.
Splashy Fen 2017 will take place over the traditional Easter
weekend from April 13 to 16. Tickets are available at www.splashyfen.co.za. Plus, if you buy 2
tickets before December 22, you can enjoy a discounted Christmas price of R700
per ticket.
