2017 is the 20th anniversary year of the ensemble Baroque
2000 and the season starts with a celebratory programme at the Church of the Monastery
Mariannhill on March 5. Starting at
1130, the all
Vivaldi concert features concertos for wind instruments and
strings.
In the one for oboe RV 454 the soloist is Maggie Deppe, who
will be joined by Sandra Bailey for the concerto for oboe and bassoon RV 545.
Ralitza Macheva and
Roberto Palma take the solo parts in the concerto for two violins RV 523, and
in the concerto in G minor for violin, two oboes and bassoon RV 319 the
ensemble will be complemented by Myfanwy Price, oboe.
The concert takes place at 11h30 on March 5 at the Church of
the Monastery in Mariannhill. Tickets for this, the first of 2017's eight
concert season are R150 at the door; subscriptions with reserved seat for the
